2003 Operate a training/teaching/breeding facility
in Northern Virginia. Continue
riding instruction with clinicians such as Gerhard Politz & Nicole
Uphoff. Attend USDF
National Trainer Symposium. Begin serving as Educational Committee
Chairman for the Mid-Atlantic Hanoverian Breeding Society.
Continue our sport horse breeding program.
2002 Operated a training/teaching/breeding facility in
Northern Virginia. Co-trained
one of our four year olds for Dressage at Devon where he was pinned
Champion in the Materiale class with a score of 75.9%. Participated in
USDF/VADA-Nova clinic with Gerhard Politz.
2001 Freelance
dressage training & instruction in Chester County, Pa while nursing
my husband through three surgeries to correct broken leg.
2000 Trained five, three-year-old Dutch Warmbloods
at Iron Spring Farm. Trained and exhibited Par Favour (RampalxTB) at
Dressage at Devon where he was pinned Champion in the three and four year-old
colt and geldings under saddle class. Made contacts and trip to Sweden,
Denmark and Holland where dressage horses were selected and imported for
clients. Trained and managed these horses upon their arrival in the U.S.
1999 Employed by private farms in Unionville, PA
where responsibilities included training and management of numerous
Warmbloods, medium level through Grand Prix.
1998 Operated 20 stall training facility in North
Carolina. After one year of training, Heather Kimsey (working student)
and her horse, Simply Smashing were BLM Champions at first level.
1995-97 Apprenticeship
with Hokan Thorn responsible for all aspects of care for
up to 24 horses in training. Interfaces with vets, farriers, and owners.
Rode up to eight horses per day, green through Grand Prix. Instructed
clients on their horses, and coached at horse shows.
1995 Apprenticeship with Manfred Lewis.
Responsible for all aspects of care for up to 12 horses in training.
Rode numerous young horses.
1995-96 Director of dressage instruction at
Victoria Station Farm, a sixty stall facility outside of St. Paul,
Minnesota.
1996-97 Schooled the Grand Prix movements on
Asterix, an imported Hanoverian trained at Warendorf and exhibited at
Aachen, and Parvenue Two, and imported Wesphalen that competed in the
USET selections for the 1996 Olympic Games.
1985-1995 Intensive Dressage & Jumping
training. Purchased young horse, trained and exhibited him to Prix St.
George. Began riding horses for others, started breeding Warmblood
horses.
Prior to 1985 Professional
ballet dancer. Long time student of John Kriza, American Ballet
Theatre’s Artistic Director. Mr. Kriza remains primary inspiration
& influence as an instructor. Danced in ballets such as Swan Lake,
Giselle, Sleeping Beauty & the Nutcracker, and in musical theatre
productions such as West Side Story. Performed with dance groups such as
The American Ballet Theatre, The Stuttgart Ballet, & the Chicago
Lyric Opera. Between 1980-1985 studied and performed with Lirena
Branitski who emigrated from the USSR where she had been a soloist with
the Kiev Ballet. Taught many ballet students, some that went on to dance
in companies such as The Joffrey Ballet, The American Ballet Theatre,
The San Francisco Ballet, & The Boston Ballet.
